KRAISS & FRIZ
Brass pressure regulator from our own production, close-up

Made by KRAISS & FRIZ

Pressure regulators

From our own workshop in Stuttgart — from the single cylinder to the ring main, in brass, and in aluminium for ammonia.

Made in Germany · in-house production

Our pressure regulators are made in our own workshop in Stuttgart — assembled by hand and tested piece by piece. We still manufacture spare parts and repair existing regulators twenty or thirty years after delivery.

Material and design

  • Brass body for standard gases
  • Aluminium body for ammonia
  • Single-stage design (two-stage versions are being phased out)
  • Various working pressures

Safe handling of gases matters to us — which is why we check every version for suitability for the gas you intend to use it with.

Our range

Four groups, from the gas cylinder to the fixed ring main. Every series is made in house — special versions, further gases and different connections on request.

No minimum order quantity.

Cylinder pressure regulators

Fitted directly to the gas cylinder. They reduce cylinder pressure of up to 200 bar to the working pressure — the largest group in our range.

R 10 brass pressure regulator with two gauges

R 10

The standard — single-stage, for almost every gas

Single-stage design for all gases except acetylene and propane. The oxygen version carries the German employers' liability insurance association test mark 1 BG 89. At 50 bar inlet and 8 bar outlet pressure it delivers 40 m³/h of nitrogen.

Special regulators for high flow rates

For applications that need a high flow rate very quickly — fire extinguishing systems, for example.

Type 1014 special pressure regulator for high flow rates

Type 1014

Up to 65 Nm³/min — for very high gas throughput

The large design for peak loads, for example in fire extinguishing systems. The 1014.25 version is made of solid brass and works with a metal bellows instead of an elastomer diaphragm — valve cone, pressure pin and bellows are positively coupled, so the force is transmitted directly. Mounting position is unrestricted.

Maintenance, testing, repair

Pressure regulators are safety-relevant components. We service, test and repair every model we have made — decades after delivery as well. Spare parts stay available long term and repairs are carried out in our own workshop.
